3rd Dan (Sandan) awarded by the Dai Nihon Iaido Renmei. The recipient is expected to basically understand the intermediate level of iaido practice. The recipient may be eligible from one year after taking 2nd Dan.
The patch for 3rd Dan is a white base with black writing and a red horizontal stripe.
