Hanshi 10th Dan

10th Dan (Juudan) awarded by the Dai Nihon Iaido Renmei. The recipient is expected to have a profound knowledge of all aspects of iaido and its practice and to have made an enormous contribution to the Federation. They should be upstanding in morality and be known as a teacher of the highest possible level. The recipient may be eligible from eight years after taking 9th Dan and be at least 75 years old. The rank is also called “Hanshi Juudan” (10th Dan Grand Master).
The patch for Hanshi Juudan is a black base with gold writing and a purple horizontal stripe.
